The winter season is also a great time to visit Reid's Roost on Little Restone Lake. There is plenty to do. From downhill skiing at Sir Sam's (a half hour away), to snowmobling on the well groomed trails of the Haliburton Forest, to ice skating on the frozen lake. There is also cross counrty skiing and toboganning nearby. Or if you'd prefer there is always relaxing by the roaring wood burning fire place in the cottage and looking out over the beautiful snowy lake. We also have high power telescope available for viewing the local wildlife or the dark night sky.
