Jean Calder founded Calder Studios in 1988 as a medical illustration company. Recently, she has expanded the business to include medical animation.

Calder Studios is recognized as a creator of artistically attractive, extensively researched visuals for the healthcare and biotechnology industries. These illustrations and animations cover a broad range of topics and are executed in a variety of artistic styles.

Jean’s educational background includes degrees in Medical Illustration (University of Toronto), Psychology (Queen’s University) and a post-graduate diploma in Computer Animation (Sheridan College). She is also an alumnus of the Ontario College of Art & Design.
